RMI March 2009 Newsletter
RMI » Newsletter
Time is passing so quickly. On Monday, March 30th, we will leave for our 2009 Mission in Africa. This year promises to be an exciting one with two trips planned to Uganda where we will minister in five meetings; the start up of Bible Schools; the hosting of Kingdom Impact Conferences in various cities throughout Kenya; and our radio and TV programs.
We are especially excited about hosting several mission teams that will be traveling from the States during the summer months. One young man, Richard Cohrs, will be coming over in June for three months, working alongside our RMI team. We know he will be a blessing to our team and believe that he will be blessed by this opportunity.
The container that we have shipped to Kenya is expected to arrive in the port of Mombasa just before we arrive in Nairobi. We continue to speak favor over the customs process and for the safe delivery of the container to our compound in Kitale.
We are excited about living at our new compound. The additional living space and the separate ministry offices are things we are really looking forward to. One of the big projects we will have is setting up a resource center, utilizing the many books, tapes, and other teaching materials that we sent over in the container.
During the five months we've been in the States, we have put nearly 9,000 miles on our vehicle. We've ministered in sixteen different churches and ministries. We been able to meet many new people and re-connect with some friends from our past. It has been a whirlwind of a schedule and Louie recently said we needed to go back to Kenya so we could get some rest. That, of course, is a joke!! But we have promised each other that we will schedule in some serious "down time" during the next nine months.
We are busy packing up our house and taking care of last minute details before our departure. So many have contacted us and let us know that they are praying for us on a daily basis. God has so blessed us with praying, giving supporters who play a very valuable role in RMI and the ministry He has given us.
Our next newsletter will be written from Kitale.
Grace to you all.
