Restoration Missions International has partnered with Dr. Leon van Rooyen and his Global Ministries Bible Institute to provide Bible School training to pastors, even in the remotest areas of Africa. The unique approach of these Bible Schools is that a school is not established in a city and students then invited to come attend, but rather, GMBI is a church based Bible School, whereas, the Bible School meets in the local church, taught by the pastor of the church. This eliminates the student from having to leave his/her family, farm, church or other responsibilities while attending Bible School.
RMI provides the initial training of the pastor, or the person he designates, in the operation of the school. Follow-up and support are provided on a regular, on-going basis. Monthly reports are required to be submitted in order for the progress of the school to be assessed.
The following are the goals Dr. Leon had in mind when he wrote the curriculum:
• Every member a minister
• Every member a leader
• Every member a reproducer
• Every member a soul-winner
• Every member involved and committed to the vision
• Every member awakened in their God-given potential
